Patrolman Jeffrey Olson was killed when his patrol car collided with another Solon Police Department patrol car during a vehicle pursuit. Patrolman Olson had served with the Solon Police Department for 10 years and in law enforcement for 13 years.

He was survived by his wife, son, daughter, and parents.
