Austin Abdelnabi
Incident
Police Officer Austin Abdelnabi was shot and killed responding to a call regarding an armed subject at the 4500 block of East Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas.
Before 4:00 p.m., Officer Abdelnabi and other officers went to investigate reports of an armed intoxicated man at a local business. When they arrived at the location, they were met with gunfire, and shots were exchanged.
Officer Abdelnabi was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.
Officer Abdelnabi was a United States Marine Corps veteran and had served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for over two years.
