Biography
Martin J. Walsh IV graduated from the New Jersey State Police Academy on November 20, 2001 — the only job he ever had, and a profession he took great pride in. He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant over 16 years of service. Outside of the badge, Marty was a devoted father and husband who created family memories through adventures in the woods, bike rides, and games with his children. His love of music led to spontaneous kitchen dance parties. His love of drawing showed up in notes he left around the house for his wife Lauren. Artistic, athletic, passionate about Jiu-Jitsu, fishing, running, and soccer — he was, in the words of those who loved him, an amazing man who led a good life. He was 38 years old.
