William Mooney
Incident
Conservation Officer William Mooney suffered a fatal stroke while hiking to check duck hunters near Newfound Lake.
He was transported to Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover where he passed away.
Officer Mooney was a WWII veteran and had served with the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department for over 13 years.
Conservation Officer Mooney, it has been 57 years since you were taken from us. New Hampshire law enforcement continues to serve and protect and make life secure for our part of the country. I honor your military and 8 1/2 years of law enforcement service to the citizens of New Hampshire.
