Incident

Officer Davis died after suffering a heart attack while struggling with a suspect during an arrest attempt. Officer Davis had observed a former student on the property of the school after being forbidden to be there. He approached the suspect for the second time in that day and attempted to arrest him for trespassing. The suspect, who was intoxicated, began to struggle with Officer Davis and put him in a headlock, which he held until Officer Davis collapsed. The suspect then began CPR on him until another student arrived and began CPR as well, at which time the suspect fled the scene. The suspect was never charged in his death because the family would not consent to an autopsy.
