Biography
Ashlee was born April 4, 1998, in Springfield, Oregon, and was a 2016 graduate of Thurston High School. Ashlee enjoyed the company of her family and friends, spending time outdoors, hiking, and photography. She had a huge heart and passion for serving her community which was evident throughout her life. Ashlee started volunteering as a teenager for the local parks and recreation district and a summer church camp. Her enthusiasm for service was reflected during her time at West Yellowstone Police Department where she served as a taser instructor, social media director, School Resource Officer, Property/Evidence, and recently as a Field Training Officer. She also enjoyed participating in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Montana. She continued volunteering as an adult coaching powerlifting for Special Olympics and various department events at the Springfield, Oregon Police Department. Ashlee is survived by her father, Jason Stoneburner, brothers Zach Stoneburner and Cole Spencer, Aunt Tiffany Monroe, who she considered “mom”, her cousins she considered siblings, Britlee Mohn, Ty, and Waylon Monroe, her Grammy Sue Stoneburner, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Ashlee’s death has left her family, friends, and community brokenhearted. She was described by many as a force of nature and there’s no denying the void felt by the loss of that force. Her vibrant soul will be forever missed.
