Incident
Sergeant William Swindoll was killed in an automobile collision on Highway 82 near Valley Hill in the afternoon. He was transported to Greenwood Leflore Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 3:00 am. Sergeant Swindoll had served with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety for 17 years and was assigned to the Driver Improvement Unit.
Survivors
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
