Correctional Officer Sidney Harrison was killed while traveling to a court appearance when the tire in his van blew out, causing the van to flip. He was ejected from the van and then crushed when it rolled over him on Mississippi 3, one mile south of Vance.

Survivors

Officer Harrison is survived by his wife, three daughters, son, and parents.
