Incident

Police Officer Abraham Quitugua was shot and killed on Texas Road in Chalan Kanoa as he and his partner attempted to arrest a man on a failure to appear warrant. One of the men opened fire on the officers, striking Officer Quitugua in the forehead. Officer Quitugua had served with the Northern Mariana Islands Department of Public Safety - Police Division for four years.

He was survived by his wife.
