Incident
Patrolman Jean Mondville suffered a fatal heart attack after responding to a fatal crash on Route 9 and Old Pool Road.
He had escorted one of the injured teenagers to Notre Dame Hospital when he felt ill and could not be revived.
Three teenagers were killed, and five were injured in the crash.
Patrolman Mondville had served with the Biddeford Police Department for 23 years.
Survivors
Survivors include his wife, daughter, two brothers, four sisters, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
