Incident
Police Officer Arthur Cornthwaite succumbed to head injuries sustained four days earlier when he slipped on ice and fell at the intersection of Caroline Street and Jefferson Street.
He was taken to the Sydenham Hospital where he remained until succumbing to complications of a skull fracture.
Officer Cornthwaite had served with the Baltimore City Police Department for 15 months and had previously served with the Maryland House of Correction for several years.
Survivors
He was survived by his wife, daughter, father, brother, and sister.
