Incident
Officer William Lochner was killed in a motorcycle crash while pursuing a speeding motorist in Elkton. It is believed the vehicle he was pursuing intentionally crowded him off Newark Road one mile from Elkton. Officer Lochner had served with the Maryland State Police for eight months.

He was survived by his parents and sister.
