Kilonzo Musili Masembwa
Incident
Police Officer Kilonzo Masembwa was killed in a vehicle crash on New Hampshire Avenue in Takoma Park while responding to backup officers.
Officers were responding to an alarm at Langley Park- McCormick Elementary School and requested backup when they spotted a suspect. While Officer Masembwa was en route, he lost control of his patrol car on the wet pavement and struck a utility pole.
Officer Masembwa had served with the Prince George's County Police Department for one year.
Survivors
He was survived by his parents.
