Biography

Chris was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was always ready with his quick wit and a helping hand. Putting his family first, Chris coached hockey for our kids and played with them on the beach. We loved to hold hands and relax on the beach at the end of the day. Chris took pride in our home and shared special time with friends and family; this is who Chris was as a person. He was a good man who placed us in the center of his life. He was great at his job, an ethical, hardworking trooper. Sadly, none of us knew the signs of post-traumatic stress or suicide, we didn’t know the signs. There was no education for families about the possibility or the reality of suicide in law enforcement, none offered to us over the years. Without education, how can families help their loved ones if we do not know!? Missing Chris is a daily heartache which we must live with and that’s something we are coming to terms with each day. Yet, having him here may have been possible had we known the reality of law enforcement suicide. It could happen. It did happen. It should not have happened. Families need information before the stress gets to their loved ones. We were blessed with Chris, he was the best for us, and loved-always will be loved by us.
