Incident
Trooper Jean Crescionne was killed in an automobile crash on U.S. Highway 190, just east of the Atchafalaya River, in Pointe Coupee Parish.
A tractor-trailer attempted to turn left from the right lane and turned directly in front of Trooper Crescionne's patrol car.
Trooper Crescionne had been with the agency for almost nine years and was assigned to Troop K.
