Incident
Deputy Cox died as a result of his injuries sustained from being struck by a motorist on the Louisiana State Highway. Deputy Cox was assisting a disabled motorist when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Survivors
He had been with the agency for 11 years and is survived by his wife and two children.
