Incident
Corporal Courville was killed after being involved in an accident while driving to assist another deputy at an alarm call.
During his response, Deputy Courville's cruiser struck the back of a pickup truck on I-10. After striking the pickup truck, his cruiser went out control, struck a tree, and caught fire. Corporal Courville was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries sustained in the accident.
Corporal Courville had been a member of the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office for five years.
