Incident
Deputy Marvin Cummings was shot and killed by eight men he had arrested the previous week during a liquor raid. Despite being mortally wounded, Deputy Cummings was able to return fire and killed two of the suspects.
Deputy Cummings had served with the agency for 2 years.
