Incident

Deputy Sheriff Elhanon Jones was shot and killed after arresting a subject at a roadhouse near Duane, Kentucky.

He was leaving the roadhouse with his prisoner when he was shot. The roadhouse operator was also shot and severely wounded.

The 34-year-old suspect was arrested, convicted of murder, and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Deputy Jones was survived by his wife.
