Biography
Officer Scott Noller died by suicide on December 28th 2017, just 8 days shy of his 29th birthday. Scott was born in Savannah GA, a “Military Brat”. He followed his family from Georgia to Kansas, then Texas, then New York and Maine. Ultimately settling down in the Wichita KS area. Scott shared his dad’s love of motorcycles and rode with his dad until he was big enough to ride his own bike. His Dad, Greg, fondly remembers their two bike trips to Colorado, especially the hail storm and mudslide they navigated during one trip. They had a special bond; the love and admiration for each other was something that was obvious to anyone who met them. After high school, Scott spent three years in the military with one tour as a Combat Engineer in Afghanistan with the 555 Engineer Brigade, 1st Engineer Battalion, 41st Engineer Company, out of Fort Riley. Scott rode in the front finding and exploding IED’s, Route Clearance, commonly called Counter-IED. Upon his return, he served four years with the Derby Kansas Police Department where he is sorely missed. Scott left behind two beautiful daughters and a father whose love for him is a weight that is both joyous and painful.
