Patrolman Frank Sedlach was killed in a motorcycle crash while attempting to stop a speeding vehicle on Grand Avenue.
His motorcycle collided with another vehicle at the intersection with Sayre Avenue.
Patrolman Sedlach was assigned to the Irving Park Station.
