Biography
Alan always knew he wanted to be in law enforcement, becoming an Explorer Scout when he was 16. So dedicated that at age 16, the Explorers were engaged to direct traffic for the annual Halloween parade, and there was Alan wearing a full leg cast and directing traffic. He earned his Associate Degree at Black Hawk College, was hired at East Moline (IL) Police Department. Once again eager, he had to work at the desk for several months because he wasn’t old enough to carry a weapon. Throughout his career, he involved himself with helping as many people as he could in all areas – from Illinois to California. Alan earned his Bachelor Degree from Lewis University. Alan worked for a number of Departments over the years. Alan was a Mentor, Street Crimes Supervisor, SWAT Member, Firearms Instructor, FTO, Court Security Officer and worked Private Security for Tiger Woods. He touched many lives in many ways, and is missed by more people than even he could imagine.
