Incident
Officer Gregory Hauser and Police Officer Raymond Kilroy were shot and killed when they responded to a domestic disturbance between a woman and her grandson at 2158 North Nordica Avenue.
As they talked to the grandson in a garage he suddenly grabbed one of the officers' weapons. The man then fired several shots, striking both Officer Hauser and Officer Kilroy.
The officers were partners until the end, having joined the Department together twenty years earlier.
Survivors
Officer Hauser is survived by his wife and three children.
