Incident
Police Officer Dennis Carder succumbed to injuries sustained on July 8th, 1990, when he fell while investigating a burglary at a business on Hill Street. He was attempting to jump from the top of a truck onto the roof of the business when he fell and suffered a head injury. He never regained consciousness after the fall and died as a result of his injuries. Officer Carder had served with the Atlanta Police Department for three years at the time of the fall.
Survivors
He is survived by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
