Biography

After serving as a paramedic for ten years, Joe worked for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in the patrol division, civil process and as a bailiff at the courthouse. He received 27 agency commendations, 13 certificates of appreciation and 13 personal letters of appreciation in his nearly twenty years of service. He was a member of the Flagler Beach Photography Club where he could always be seen taking pictures of the beach sunrises. Joe also enjoyed NASCAR going to rock concerts and was an avid Minnesota Vikings Fan. He leaves behind family and friends that were grief stricken by his sudden passing. He will be remembered for his humor compassion, generosity, and charisma. Joe was a kind man with a big heart. He fought his demons but in the end the pain was too heavy; his career was everything to him.
