Incident

Patrolman Henry McCall was shot and killed as he responded to a silent alarm at a local bank. The bank had a history of having false alarms. As he exited his vehicle, he was confronted by two suspects who opened fire, striking him in the head. Patrolman McCall's murder was never solved. The primary suspect died in prison a few years after the murder. Patrolman McCall had served with the Frostproof Police Department for two years. At the time of his death, Patrolman McCall had been married for only two weeks.
