Special Agent Octabio Gonzales was shot and killed in his office in Bogota, Colombia, by a hitman from the Colombian Cartel. Special Agent Gonzales was acting as agency's country attache to Colombia. The suspect committed suicide a short time later. Special Agent Gonzales had served with the Drug Enforcement Administration for eight years.
