Officer Thomas Hood was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer while directing traffic at a Tennessee Valley Authority work site on US Highway 11 south of Loudon, Tennessee.
Officer Hood had served with the Tennessee Valley Authority Police Department for 28 years.
