Incident

Private First Class Tekoa Brown succumbed to injuries sustained nine days earlier after being involved in a vehicle crash while responding to an emergency call at the NCO Academy on Fort Eustis in Newport News, Virginia.

While en route, her vehicle left the roadway and hit several trees. Private First Class (PFC) Brown was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she passed away.

PFC Brown had served in the U.S. Army for only eight months and was assigned to the U.S. Army Transportation Center and Fort Eustis Military Police Company.

Survivors

She is survived by her daughter, parents, and sister.
