Biography
Bruce Schulz was a United States Marine before joining the Tallahassee, Florida Police Department, where he served eight years in Uniform Patrol, on the SWAT Team, and in the Vice/Narcotics Unit, handling major cases and serving on the Big Bend Narcotics Task Force. In 1984 he was sworn in as an FBI Special Agent — the achievement he considered his life's goal. He was assigned to the Washington Field Office, working foreign counterintelligence in the CI15 unit. He lived with his wife Donna in an FBI undercover surveillance facility on Embassy Row, monitoring Russian military attaches — a life of total isolation from family and colleagues for over a year. He received outstanding evaluations and letters of commendation from multiple national security agencies. He was 45 years old.
