Incident
Detective Sergeant Roy Shy was killed in a vehicle crash while responding to a payroll robbery. His vehicle collided with a laundry truck at the intersection of Washington Street and Los Angeles Street. Sergeant Shy had served with the Los Angeles Police Department for 15 years.
