Incident
Police Officer Ernest Dark succumbed to injuries sustained four days earlier when he was involved in an automobile crash while pursuing a traffic violator.
He entered a neighboring city when his cruiser collided with a vehicle attempting to make a left turn in front of him.
Officer Dark had served with the Upland Police Department for 12 years.
Survivors
He was survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
