Biography
After 12 years of service, LAPD Officer Craig Majors of the West Valley Division, died by suicide on September 23, 2014.According to his wife, Michelle, “My husband Craig was a great training officer. He always had a line of new officers wanting him as their FTO because of the type of hard working officer he was. Craig was a decorated officer and was a month shy of 12 years. He would give you the shirt off his back and, go out of his way to help anyone he could. However, that was how he coped and his way of masking his deep dark troubles. Most of his fellow officers had no idea the demons he was dealing with, he tried to keep a private. Sadly, his deep dark struggles were just too big and too much. The help he tried to get from time to time didn’t help him in the long run. He left behind a 4 yr old little boy at the time of his death. Our hearts are forever broken and we miss him like crazy.”
