Incident
Officer Carlo Poggetto was killed in a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Towne Avenue and Jefferson Street while attempting to stop a vehicle. He was in the process of conducting a traffic stop when he observed another serious violation take place. He had just pulled onto the street and hadn't yet turned on his emergency equipment when he was struck. Officer Poggetto had served with the agency for eight years.

He was survived by his wife and children.
