Incident
Deputy Darryn Robins was accidentally shot and killed on Christmas Day by another deputy as they re-enacted an earlier traffic stop during a training exercise in a parking lot in Lake Forest. He served with the Orange County Sheriff's Department for seven years.
Survivors
He is survived by his wife, 18-month-old daughter, his mother, and three sisters.
