Incident
Deputy Sheriff Ed Miller was shot and killed during a dispute involving the local postmaster. The suspect was charged with murder. On March 8, 1914, a jury found the suspect not guilty. Deputy Miller was a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge and was survived by his wife and daughter. He is buried at Apache Cemetery in Cochise County, Arizona.
