Incident
Deputy Williams was shot and killed by a 18 year-old youth he attempted to question about a robbery. The suspect held up another youth for 15 cents and a pocket comb. The youth was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life on May 18, 1936. Deputy Williams had served with the agency for 3 years.

He was survived by his wife and nine children.
