Incident
Officer Ewell Starr succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash while on duty. A vehicle pulled in front of him at Clinton Avenue and Monroe Street as he responded to an accident, causing a collision. Officer Starr had served with the Huntsville Police Department for three years.

He was survived by his wife and child.
