Incident
As four officers were returning to duty from a period of leave, Albert and his colleague, Constable John Herbert Evans, were were shot in the head and killed, at Hillville, just outside Killorglin, County Kerry.
The other two officers, Constables Ernest Bright and Patrick Waters, are believed to have been abducted and killed.
