Incident

As four officers were returning to duty from a period of leave, Patrick and his colleague, Constable Ernest Bright, are believed to have been abducted and subsequently killed. Neither officer’s body has never been recovered.

The other two officers, Constables Albert F. Caseley and John Herbert Evans were found shot dead at Hillville, just outside Killorglin, County Kerry.
