Incident
In 1965, Richard transferred from Hull to Nottingham City Police where he became an Inspector.
After serving in the CID he was promoted to Chief Inspector in 1968 and Superintendent in 1974 and later took over as the Commander of ‘A’ Division in the north of the county.
Chief Superintendent Beacock was survived by his wife, a married daughter and a fourteen-year-old son.
