Incident
Approaching a man whom he saw sketching in Hyde Park and suspecting it may be of national importance due to the War he seized the sketch. The man proceeded to stab Avery in the leg, causing serious injuries that led to Avery's death the following day.
Died the day after sustaining serious injuries when he was stabbed in the leg by a man he saw sketching in Hyde Park and from whom he seized the drawing which he believed may be of national importance due to the war.
