Incident

On the evening of Friday 5th of August 1921, the Roman Catholic Schools Cup Final took place between Park Road School, Motherwell and Carfin R.C. School. The Park Road School won the match and the players were conveyed back to Motherwell in a Charabanc while the supporters marched back with them. Constable Munro was with a Sergeant and other Constables who were tasked with monitoring the crowds in the area of Kirk Road and Main Street.
