Drowned alongside his colleague, PC Iain Peter Ritchie, both of whom were members of the force’s Sub-Aqua Unit, when they became trapped in a sluice at the bottom of the fifteen-feet-deep lock gate, while searching the Caledonian Canal at Corpach for a missing youth.
