Incident
PC Milton was found dead on the road just north of the city of Carlisle, having suffered a fractured skull that he seemingly sustained in a road accident while on traffic patrol.
Attempts were made to determine whether another vehicle had been involved in the incident but none was found.
Lyall was survived by his wife of ten years.
