Incident

PC Winter died in Hull Royal Infirmary one month after being seriously burned, on 23rd October, when a lorry carrying propane gas exploded after striking an overhead bridge as it attempted to enter Hull Docks via the subway from West Dock Street to Billingsgate Crossing.

Nineteen members of the public were injured and one civilian also died.
