Cpl. Arseneault was killed instantly, Therrien died in hospital. Cpl. Arseneault was a 10-year veteran of the Sûreté who had previously spent 22 years with the municipal force in Amos, in the Abitibi region, and had been with the Sûreté’s Laval traffic section since it was created two years ago.
