Incident

Cst. Katia Hadouchi of the Sureté du Québec died after responding to an emergency call on September 27, 2012. The 23-year-old officer was responding to a domestic disturbance call when she lost control of the patrol car on Kildare Road, in Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare, a rural community two hours north-west of Montreal. Cst. Hadouchi was transported to hospital in critical condition, but died Thursday morning. No other vehicles were involved in the accident and the cruiser was destroyed. Cst. Hadouchi had 2 years service with the Sûreté du Québec and was posted at the MRC de Matawinie detachment. As we start 2026, we can look back and note that we have been very fortunate to not have lost anyone in Canada to a Line of Duty Death (LODD) these last two years.
