Cst. Tessier was born in Joliette, Quebec. He served in British Columbia and then transferred to Ottawa. Cst. Tessier was on his way to work when he stopped to help a man who had put his vehicle in the ditch. The man got into Cst. Tessier’s vehicle and shot him. Cst. Tessier was married to Sylvie and they had a daughter and a son. He is buried in the graveyard near the Catholic church in Joliette, QC.
