Incident
K9 Leo was a Utah Highway Patrol K-9 who specialized in locating illegal narcotics. His handler was Tyler West.
During his service, K9 Leo was responsible for locating hundreds of pounds of illegal narcotics. He worked in Grand County and continued that work in Iron County.
The Grand County Sheriff's Office announced his death in a post that read:
"Our hearts go out to his handler, Tyler West, during this difficult time. Although Leo was not assigned to the Grand County Sheriff's Office, he worked alongside deputies in Grand County and made a lasting impact on our community."
"K9 Leo served with loyalty, dedication, and courage. His service will not be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to be remembered by all who had the privilege of working with him."
